Personal Essay Workshop

Laura Lippman is a New York Times bestseller and was named one of crime fiction’s “essential” writers by LitHub. The author of more than 20 books, she has won multiple awards for her novels and short stories. In 2019, she published Lady in the Lake, which drew starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus and Booklist, as well as raves from independent booksellers, and in 2020, she published her first collection of personal essays, My Life as a Villainess.  Her work also has appeared in the New York TimesThe Wall Street JournalThe Guardian and the Washington Post. She lives in Baltimore and New Orleans.
